Celebrate summer with METRO, PARTA, and SARTA by riding free on line-service routes every Friday in July and August. Free fares are available only on fixed routes and are not valid on premium services such as METRO’s SCAT, Northcoast Express, or Call-A-Bus; PARTA’s Cleveland Express or DART Service; or SARTA’s Route 4 to Cleveland or Proline service.
Each week, a destination in Summit, Portage, and Stark counties will be highlighted on NEORide.org. On Friday, July 13, the first 400 passengers who take METRO’s Route 14 or The Loop to the Akron Zoo will receive half-price admission, courtesy of NEORide.
Throughout the campaign, riders are encouraged to post pictures of their Free Fare Friday trips on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #FreeFareFridays. Riders will also have the chance to receive a prize from members of the METRO, PARTA, and SARTA “Ride Patrol.”
