METRO Regional Transit Authority, a 370+ employee transit authority located in Akron, Ohio, is seeking an experienced professional to join our transit management team as the Director of Planning and Development.
Duties include, but are not limited to, oversight for route and schedule modifications, passenger shelter/bus stop program, railroad activities, including leases, search for grants, respond to requests for proposals, METRO’s real estate activities, analysis of ridership and other transit system performance indicators. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an advanced degree and 5-7 years relevant work experience, or a combination of education and work experience which provides the required skill set to perform the essential functions of the job.
