Summit County residents can utilize METRO services to get to their polling location for free during Ohio’s Special Election on Tuesday, August 8. METRO’s fixed-route and ADA services will be provided at no cost to passengers.
“METRO understands that access to transportation is essential when it comes to diminishing barriers across our community,” said CEO METRO Dawn Distler. “We provide free fares for General Elections, but we understand that the Special Election on August 8 is significant. We are proud to give our passengers an avenue to exercise their right to vote.”
Polling locations in Summit County are open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8. Early voting is open now.
