Beginning Monday, April 12, mobile ticketing validators will be activated on all METRO services for customers using the EZfare mobile ticketing app. These validators are another tool to offer passengers a seamless, contactless, and safe way to pay.
Once a ticket is purchased and activated in the EZfare app, passengers will need to scan the ticket barcode on the validator upon boarding. The barcode needs to face the scanner. Upon scanning, the validator will make a sound and show one of the following:
- Green light confirms a valid ticket.
- Yellow light indicates the passenger needs to show proof of reduced fare.
- Red light confirms an invalid ticket. The passenger should purchase and scan a valid ticket. For further assistance, please call METRO Customer Care at 330-762-0341.
