Riders will see reduced bus service Monday through Friday. Saturday service will remain the same. Beginning April 12, 2020 there will be no Sunday service. This change does not affect life necessary paratransit trips (medical, grocery, or work).
METRO will run additional buses on its busiest routes when feasible to help maintain social distancing.
Public transportation is an essential service for this community and METRO will continue providing service as best it can with the resources it has.
“It has been our goal to provide this service at 100% but this goal is no longer practical,” said Executive Director Dawn Distler. “We have prioritized our most-utilized bus routes and are running as much service as possible. We understand this may present challenges to the public, but we are dedicated to serving our passengers to the best of our ability.
“To best serve this community, we have one request: if it is not necessary for you to ride public transportation, please don’t. Do not put bus operators, METRO team members, and other passengers at risk. This team and this community deserve your respect and your help.”
