Beginning Monday, April 20, Akron's Battles Ave. will close between 20th and 22nd Streets.
Some Battles Ave. stops on the Route #9 Vern Odom/East Ave. will be out of service while parts of Battles are inaccessible.
The closure is part of a construction project slated for completion in June 2015. Rolling road closures may take place as the project continues.
Here is the detour for the week of May 25:
#9 Outbound from Battles Ave:
Right on 17th St. SW
Left on Iona Ave
Left on 20th St. SW
Right back on Battles Ave.
#9 Inbound from Battles Ave:
Left on 20th St. SW
Right on Iona Ave
Right on 17th St. SW
Left back on Battles Ave.
The detour is reversed for outbound trips.
