As part of its Summer in the Cities promotion, METRO, PARTA, and SARTA will offer free bus fares every Friday throughout July and August.
“This coordinated effort between METRO, PARTA and SARTA will allow passengers the chance to explore all three of our transit system at no charge every Friday in July and August. This is the next step as NEORide continues to connect our counties in a meaningful way, making transportation easier and more reliable. I encourage everyone to explore all that Portage, Stark and Summit have to offer including shopping, restaurants, parks, fairs and festivals all summer long,” said Claudia B. Amrhein, General Manager of PARTA and President of NEORide.
Each week, a list of hot spots will be featured on NEORide.org. Riders are encouraged to take advantage of the free fares on Fridays to visit the hot spots throughout all three counties. Riders who post selfies at any listed hot spots with the hashtag #SummerInTheCities will be entered for the chance to win prizes.
